When our customers contact our Claims teams, they’re likely to have had a bad day – having had a car accident, burst pipe, sick pet or an illness when far from home. Ensuring that our customers have an efficient and fair claims experience gives us the chance to turn things around for people and really deliver on our promises.
Excellent claims handling is utterly essential to our success. Striking a delicate balance between the needs of our customers and the demands of third parties, we minimise cost, avoid bad publicity and scrutinise claims for possible abuse – generally within four main areas:
Motor Claims teams handle the process through from the initial call from our customer following an accident through to salvaging the vehicle and settling the claim
Home Claims teams deal with home, travel or pet insurance claims – from the first notification, to evaluating the claim, negotiating claims settlements and instructing suppliers
Technical and Large Loss teams manage the largest and most complex claims we receive, as well as set our business-wide technical practices and claims management standards
Network Fulfilment and Supply Chain teams focus on sourcing, managing and developing new relationships with suppliers, such as garages

Within Motor and Home Claims, Team Leaders
manage a team of Advisors

are the ‘face’ of our business, dealing with customer claims within the home, motor, pet and travel worlds of insurance. Within Commercial and Assurance, Counter Fraud Claims Handlers
investigate suspicious claims, review intelligence and work closely with the police and insurance fraud bureau on the disruption of organised fraud rings.
