Everything begins with HR. From the very beginning of your journey with DLG you’ll meet most of us along the way, whether that’s our Candidate Services teams who help you into the business, our Learning and Development teams who make sure you’re getting the best out of your time with us, or our local HR representatives who can advise you on policies, we’re there when you need us. Let’s face it, even the best job in the world is nothing without incredible colleagues to go with it, and it’s up to us to make that happen.
From payroll to employee relations, recruitment to learning and internal communications, we have a wide range of experts who come together to ensure our people are the best that they can be. It wouldn’t be DLG without us, find out more about what we do.
DLG is always evolving to stay ahead of the industry. With the aim of being the UK’s leading insurer you can bet there’s a lot going on behind the scenes to get us there, and we can only do this with the right people on board. That’s where we come in. We get new talent into the business and also develop the rewards, training and development that gives our people what they need to be the best they can be for DLG. When we’re not thinking up new and innovative ways to grow our business, we’re volunteering for charities, going out as teams and getting involved everywhere we can.
We know you’ve heard this all before, but the culture here at DLG really is something else. We embrace our individuality – you’ll see it in the way that we think and work, it’s all about ensuring you can enjoy making a contribution, have some fun and be yourself in every aspect. We encourage each other to be the best we can be: no opinion goes unheard, no achievement goes unrecognised, and no idea goes unknown – we even reward you for them! We encourage our people to work together, aim higher and to be the best they can be – for customers, colleagues and the business. It’s an indefinable “DLGness” that makes us who we are, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
So, enough about us, our work/life balance is all about you. Sometimes it can be difficult to juggle all that life throws at you, so that’s why we do everything we can to help you make the most of it with a range of flexible working options, from part-time, term-time or home working, to job sharing and variable hours. We’ll also support you through the big moments in life, from parental leave to career breaks. We don’t shy away from a good time either – there’s always something going on after work, from casual nights to fancy events, and we’ll give you one free day a year to support a charity or your local community as well as loads of opportunities to help us fundraise for all sorts of amazing causes throughout the year. If it matters to you, it matters to us too.
Learning is all about discovery, and if you have the appetite to develop then we’ll make sure you have all the key skills and knowledge you’ll need to do your job, as well as help you plan for your future development at DLG. We offer all kinds of training, from online and on the job learning, to courses, workshops and the chance to gain professional or vocational qualifications. We want to help you reach your full potential and give you the tools to get there.
We recognise we wouldn’t be where we are today without our colleagues, that’s why we offer such excellent benefits designed to suit you as and when you need them.
We’ll let you know if the job you’re interested in offers other optional benefits when you apply.
Our colleagues come from a range of backgrounds which means we benefit from alternative viewpoints, perspectives and ideas. We celebrate and encourage this individuality, and believe it makes us strong and supportive as a team. If you wanted to see this in action then our Diversity Network Alliance (DNA) is a great example as it makes diversity and inclusion an everyday reality. DNA stands for everything and everyone. Which means no matter what your gender, age, ethnicity, beliefs or sexual preference, or if you’re disabled or a carer, it’s there for you. DNA challenges thinking, influences policy and encourages people to work together to create an even more welcoming and diverse organisation.
We’re based primarily at our Bromley and Leeds offices, but we also have roles in all our office locations.
