We are recruiting a brand new Hub & Spoke team into our Birmingham (Stetchford) site to support our new ways of working projects. The team will need to be open minded, adaptable and enthusiastic to change and have the agility and vision of DLG’s strategic pillar to lead & disrupt the market. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team to test new technology and adopt new practices in support of driving our business forward to becoming Britain’s Best Insurer.

What being an Internal Engineer involves:

  • Ensuring that the customer experience is at the heart of everything you do, treating customers fairly at all times
  • Using appropriate judgement to deliver excellent customer performance in line with the Direct Line Group values and strategy
  • Supporting the delivery and management of the AD spend   
  • Identifying, owning and managing the risks involved in running our business appropriate to your role, interacting with the appropriate internal and external contacts
  • Ensuring opportunities and threats are managed proactively and in line with the Group Risk Framework minimum standards
  • Collaborating with your colleagues and the wider business to drive the correct outcome for DLG and our customers
  • Developing self to maximise your full potential in the role

Skills and qualities you will need

  • ​Experience working in a similar role is beneficial
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
  • Data Analysis
  • Ability to take ownership of workload and prioritise tasks
