Business Resilience Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Resilience Manager to join Direct Line Group, a market leading insurer based in Bromley.  We’re just 15 mins from Central London!

The Business Resilience team form part of the Information, Security, Risk and Assurance function and our mission statement is ‘To drive a culture and practice of resilience into the heart of DLG, enabling it to adapt, prevent and respond to disruption’.

The focus for 2019 will be to enhance the review of critical End to End processes including the creation of Resilience profiles; Strengthen the recovery arrangements in place, particularly around people and process transfer; Drive automation of processes and reporting.

Some key focuses of this role will be;

  • Management of stakeholder relationships across the business specifically the protective disciplines including ISRA, 1LOD, 2LOD, Technology Risk, Property, IT Service Continuity, Crisis Response and Physical security to establish and maintain resilience KRI’s and controls to quantify, report and track levels of Organisational Resilience across the group.
  • Responsible for supporting directorates in maintaining Business Continuity/Resilience Plans in accordance with DLG risk management policies and Business Resilience Minimum Standards and undertaking quality assurance
  • Delivery of Training & Awareness activities across the business
  • Supporting the Business Resilience Lead to delivery Resilience activities including: reporting, exercising, risk assessments aligned to the DLG Resilience programme and model
  • End to end process mapping, analysing and Resilience profile creation

Required Skills / Essential Skills

  • 3 years’ experience in Business Continuity/ Resilience plus preferable experience in a minimum of 1 of the following disciplines – Risk Management, Technology Resilience, Cyber Resilience, Supply chain resilience
  • An understanding of the following best practice standards: Organisational Resilience BS65000:2014/ISO22316:2017, Business Continuity: BCI GPG, ISO22301:2012, Risk Management BS31000:2009

Desirable Skills

  • A high standard of presentation and business report writing
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement across all levels
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

This position may be suited for someone who has worked within the following roles: Business Continuity Coordinator, Business Continuity Manager, Business Resilience coordinator, Business Resilience Manager
