What we’re looking for
We are always looking for ways to enhance and improve our pricing and we have a whole team dedicated to making everything from fundamental step changes of capability to tactical improvements – all to keep us on the leading edge of pricing.
Our dedicated team work across a diverse range of projects such as evaluating new sources of data, changing our rating algorithm and building new pricing models, primarily across motor, home and other personal lines. The projects team is looking for a new joiner, so if you are passionate about delivering innovative analytical projects this could be a great role for you.
You’ll be a logical thinker but with a creative flair
You’ll have strong analytical skills
You’ll be a great communicator with strong relationship building skills
You’ll be improvement focused
Who you’ll be working with
The team sits within the wider pricing projects department, reporting into the Pricing Projects Manager Lai Hatcher. With currently over 20 specialists using tools such as radar, emblem, R and SAS there will be lots of people to learn from and collaborate with.
What you’ll be doing
This is an exciting and ever-changing role where you will be working across different projects, delivering key pricing changes, ensuring project timelines are met and partners are engaged throughout.
The new pricing capabilities will need to be imbedded into the wider pricing and underwriting teams and you will be key in this transition. This will take some time but also a strong sense of method, dedication and patience as well as a good measure of testing.
We want you to strive to improve the logic of the pricing algorithms, ensuring it is relevant for business needs, new developments match to our strategic direction and redundant logic challenged for removal - irregardless of the size of the project.
You will be breathing and living change, always looking for the better option or the more accurate model, so this needs to be a passion of yours. We have excellent benefits available for our employees who can deliver significant improvements to our business - if you have an idea, we promise to listen!

We have a strong focus on developing you and your skillset and work hard to give you the tools to do so.
