What we are looking for

We are looking for some-one with extensive transaction advisory & corporate development experience, preferably gained within consultancy, investment bank or in-house in a FTSE 100 company. Someone who will embrace multiple complex engagements and who has previous ream management and development experience. You’ll help develop, maintain and lead corporate development and fintech programme aligned to DLG’s corporate strategy – allowing us to support current and future customer requirements and expectations.

Who you’ll be working with

You’ll be providing an in-house advisory and execution service to the Group, reporting into the Strategy Director and supporting them to advise DLG’s executive and senior leadership on corporate development activity. You’ll be joining an upbeat team in one of our Bromley based functions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Being a key advisor for corporate development activities of various types across the group
  • Supporting origination and development of inorganic concepts into value building business development opportunities
  • Making recommendations on the attractiveness and feasibility, as well as leading the execution, of acquisitions, disposals, JV partnerships and investment opportunities in both core and new business areas – underpinned by robust financial analysis
  • Helping lead the business’s FinTech programme by managing approaches to new opportunities and existing Fintech investments
  • Developing and maintaining a robust and proactive Corporate Development pipeline and a strong, centrally led M&A process in line with the businesses strategy and dynamics
  • Developing and maintaining the groups corporate valuation model
  • Leading diverse virtual teams brought together for transaction projects executed against tight timelines

Key Skills

  • A Professional Finance Qualification or be qualified by experience
  • Strong financial acumen, modelling & valuation skills and attention to detail
  • This position may be suited for someone who has worked within the following roles: M&A, Transaction Services
