What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a Market and Credit risk environment with an understanding of Economic Scenario Generators (ESGs) and how these are applied to calculate investment/portfolio risk. The successful individual will be comfortable in taking ownership of complex tasks and adhering to, at times, strict deadlines. In addition, experience of Igloo/Capital modelling would be desirable.

Who you’ll be working with

You’ll be a senior analyst within the Capital Modelling Team, part of our Corporate Actuarial function, supporting the calculation and ongoing monitoring of DLGs solvency capital requirement. Joining a diverse and upbeat team based in Bromley.

What you’ll be doing

  • You'll be a key advisor for corporate development activities of various types and will lead the investigation to provide a summary of any proposed updates of the ESG and Asset model.
  • You'll Provide regular output from our Internal Economic Capital Model (IECM) for model users, for example the market risk KRI’s.
  • You'll Build and manage relationships with users of these elements of the IECM within the business and the external model providers. Treat the users of the IECM within the business as our customers and find solutions to meet their needs for model use.
  • You'll Plan model updates; collect relevant data adhering to all data quality standards including the maintenance of data contracts and data quality assessments.
  • You'll lead the Parameterisation Sign Off Presentation (PSOP) of the quarterly ESG releases including conducting any primary validation.
  • Maintain documentation of the IECM in relation to the components listed above.
  • You will Assist the independent validation team as required.
  • Assist in the delivery of regulatory capital submissions and any internal reporting requirements
