This is a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Optimisation Specialist to join a FTSE100 company.

Who you’ll be working with:

Data, Insight, Analytics & Conversion plays a massive part of how the Digital Department functions and the role of the Digital Optimisation Engineer is critical to the success of the business. The team consists of 4 core functions; Insight, Implementation, Optimisation and Data and has grown from a team of 5 to a team of 18 over the last couple of years.

What you’ll be doing:

Using enterprise level, industry leading tools from an experimentation, web analytics and customer experience perspective, the Digital Optimisation Specialist role will use their own creativity and scientific rigour while drawing on the wider team’s experience in all four of these core functions to deliver customer focussed and high quality test builds to provide a seamless end to end Digital experience.

Some key focuses will be;

  • Formulate, communicate and help deliver stable and viable A/B test in collaboration with the wider Optimisation Team and our product scrums, including the definition of test details, audiences, measurement frameworks and test operations.
  • Work with other teams within DLG Digital to explore, conceptualise, quantify and prioritise test opportunities, while aligning to existing product roadmaps.
  • Communicate both success and failure in equal measure, with focus on learnings and incremental impact.
  • Understand and uphold the importance of data-driven results, prioritisation and analysis, working with the wider Data & Insight Team and UX & Design to generate clear-cut recommendations based on research.
  • Follow scientific methodology to devise hypotheses and test variants to construct a clear and precise brief. based on a set brief to uphold excellent customer experience.
  • Create clear visuals for alternate experiences, working with UX & Design, that comprehensively communicate the desired output from the test build.
  • Be the continual presence of Optimisation among our DLG Digital peers and maintain an open, transparent and collaborative mindset to raise the profile of experimentation across the business.

Required Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation principles, best-practices and techniques
  • Proficient in Web Optimisation/Experimentation tools (Adobe Target, Optimizely, Maxymiser or similar)
  • Excellent relationship management skills to work with colleagues at all levels
  • Good presentation skills that make the communication of ideas super-clear and simple.
  • Experience using web analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or similar)
  • Experience with designing web solutions or approaching problems with a creative mindset
  • Autonomy: you’ll be responsible for communicating input and output of the experimentation programme and maintaining visibility.

Desirable Skills

  • Experienced in a Conversion Rate Optimisation based role
  • Passion: you’ll be passionate about exploring ideas and gathering validated learning
  • Engaging and confident communication skills to work well with colleagues in various roles
