Lead Engineer - Digital
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000

What we’re looking for:
A Lead Digital Engineer to own and define the strategy of the engineering functions within Digital.
We’re looking for a natural leader to challenge the status quo, an individual with technical knowledge but also leadership and mentoring ability. Demonstrable stakeholder management skills are required.

Our Digital team puts the customer at the heart of everything we do, from the beginning to the end of the customer journey. We’re a high performing, award winning team, all supporting the development, crafting and execution of Digital propositions. What you’ll be doing:
The successful individual will lead and manage the Senior UI and Software Engineers, and will be accountable for defining and driving architecture strategy, technical innovation and excellence within all engineering activities.
A key part of the role will be to own the relationship with third parties (engineering) working on Digital projects, ensuring third party deliveries are formally scoped, and delivery is within budget and to agreed milestones and quality plans.
You’ll take responsibility for delivered solutions ensuring commercial viability; operational principles and standards compliance; adherence to the architectural strategy and high-level solution designs; and solution delivery which is; supportable, enduring and minimises future development costs.
You’ll define agile delivery principles across all of Digital ensuring best practice adoption around programming, scrum, kanban, continuous delivery, devops and security.
