What we’re looking for:

We have a vacancy for a Sourcing Manager within our Procurement Supply Chain division in our Motor and Rescue Category. You'll be able to demonstrate extensive sourcing experience; a category expert who has a keen insight and understanding of business requirements on a 1-3 year horizon, across your portfolio of categories. A commercial leader who has utilised excellent project management skills to lead complex areas of spend.

You’ll need to use your competitor and industry knowledge to drive innovation and commercial value.

Within the last few years the team has built a new specialist operating model combining Commercial Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Development into a single centralised function. We’ve found these improvements have resulted in efficiencies and increased collaboration across the board, achieving better results, and a 2018 CIPS Award nomination for Most Improved Procurement Operation – Step change!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Direct responsibility for development and delivery of sourcing and contracting strategies across a portfolio of complex and strategic categories and suppliers
  • Accountable for the delivery of all sourcing activity (individual and any direct reports, including RFX, RFP, complex supplier negotiations and contracting)
  • Category Management and compliance
  • Leading and implementing contractual arrangements that are aligned with supplier and relationship strategies
  • Liaising with senior partners to influence and define the contracting and sourcing strategy development and implementation.
  • You will be responsible for all DLG’s external supplier spend within the designated category of expertise, driving breakthrough results for DLG through effective development and delivery of sourcing and contracting strategies.
