What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Reward Manager specialised in Executive Reward where you will be the company expert on Executive reward and compensation, advising the wider business on best practice and market changes.

  • You’ll have an ability to influence and communicate well with senior stakeholders

  • You will be comfortable with delivering advice and support, drawing on your excellent industry and market knowledge

  • You’ll have strong understanding of current governance and regulation, the FTSE market and financial services/insurance in particular

  • You’ll be improvement-focused and forward thinking with a creative flair and a collaborative approach

What you will be doing:

As the business' subject matter expert on all things reward-related for our most senior colleagues, you will be advising on compensation and reward schemes including, recruitment and promotion arrangements, and the annual pay and bonus review.

You will be attending meetings with the Remuneration Committee, presenting your papers along with the Head of Reward and continuing to build that excellent relationship. You’ll also write the Directors’ Remuneration Report section of the Annual Report.

You’ll be managing the company’s executive and all-employee share plans together with Company Secretariat and Tax.

You will be providing advice and guidance to Direct Line Group, suggesting improvements, and keeping the business informed on developments in executive reward. This includes advising on LTIPs and deferred awards, legislation, taxation, pension schemes and making sure our bonus schemes and additional benefits offer appropriate reward for performance and output and promotes our business plan.

Who you’ll be working with:

You will join a fun and dynamic reward team of 8 who work closely together with the Head of Reward to advise and support on business decisions. You won't have people management responsibilities as such, but you will have the full support of a team of reward analysts for everything from report writing to data management, and in turn you will help them develop their knowledge in this area.

In terms of the wider business you will be working with key internal partners such as the Company Secretariat, Head of Reward and the HR Director, Finance, Tax, Investor Relations, Risk and Compliance as well as external reward partners and governmental bodies. You will also be collaborating with your HR Business Partners as well as the wider HR team and our people managers, guiding them and advising on all Executive reward related matters.
