The role

An amazing opportunity has arisen to join our Legal Expenses team as a Non- Bodily Injury Legal Expenses Claims Handler on a full time permanent basis based in Bristol

What we're looking for:

Your critical thinking and interpretation of information when assessing and validating claims will achieve the right outcomes for our customers and our business.

You’ll be asking questions of legal representatives; and making the right decisions on policy cover and costs that DLG will be liable to pay.

Skills and Qualities you will need:

  • Law degree, CILEX or similar qualification

Alternatively

  • 1 year claims handling experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Your role will be one of complexity and legal technicality. You’ll be dealing with Civil Litigation claims - Consumer Contract, Property and Inheritance; made under our legal expenses policies
  • You’ll guide the selection of legal representative for legal expenses claims and approve the limit of indemnity and legal costs spend
  • You’ll be working with our customers and their legal representative through the entire claims life-cycle, consistently achieving the right results in a timely and professional way
  • You’ll assist with quality assurance activity and capability feedback
  • You’ll represent DLG and by handling our customer’s expectations and explaining decisions clearly, you’ll resolve problems and concerns
