The Role:

We’re looking for a Sharepoint Engineer to join our small but busy team here at DLG! 

This role will encompass project work such as moving data to the cloud, implementing the new power platform and enabling new functionalities within the Microsoft apps, Service requests e.g. building solutions and workflows in Sharepoint, customising libraries and automating processes, as well as your normal “BAU” of supporting the platform and all of it’s end users. 

We need someone who’s action orientated, a good team player and an expert multi-tasker. You’ll also be happy to get stuck into lots of different tasks and a keen learner, always brushing up on your knowledge of the latest apps and updates!

Who you’ll be working with: 

This is a key engineering role within a multi-disciplined/skilled team of engineers who are accountable for providing technical assurance, governance and expect technical guidance to the build, delivery and operation of our core productivity, collaboration and associated Microsoft components supporting 14,000+ users across DLG!

We are committed to research and development and invest heavily in emerging technologies including growing a healthy relationship with Citrix, AWS and Azure (our virtual desktop environment). Pushing the latest and greatest technologies whilst empowering our colleagues along the way is second nature to us.

What you’ll be doing:

·Development with Office 365 tools including SharePoint Online, Power Platform and SPFX using ReactJS,TypeScript

·Providing technical support and remediation of O365 custom solutions and SharePoint

·Plan, document and implement technical changes where appropriate

·Engage with the business and turn requirements into technical solutions using Office 365 services

·Work with wider End User Computing Team to troubleshoot O365 incidents and act as an escalation point for major incidents or problem management for SharePoint

·Support and help upskill end users with regard to using O365, in particular SharePoint

·Driving the development of emerging desktop solutions underpinned by Citrix Cloud, Azure, AWS and other providers

·Supporting the on-going delivery of our Office 365 Client Application configuration and management

What you’ll need:

·Office 365 – SharePoint Online, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerShell using SharePoint and PnP, Microsoft Teams, MS Graph, CSOM,C#, REST

·Hands on development with Office 365 tools including SharePoint Online, PowerApps, Power Automate, SPFX, React, TypeScript and JavaScript

·Solid experience within o365

·End user support experience

·Automation with PowerShell for admin

Office 365 Forms and Groupsand Google Analyticsare “nice to haves” for this role, but not essential.
