This is a full-time permanent role based at Livery Street in Birmingham

This role is a hybrid working model with some working from home and some working on site required so you must be able to commute to one of our 22 auto services sites, also some travel to other auto services sites may be needed for training and support.

Within DLG Auto Services we spend millions of pounds procuring goods and services and as the Technical Supply Chain and Systems SME you will be the voice of the Motor Networks Transformation team on all things supply and systems working closely with the DLG Auto Services sites, DLG AS Leadership Team, Suppliers, Procurement Team and many other areas of the business.

You will be working within a high performing team to help the business achieve business excellence, share best practice along the way, support continuous improvement and transformation to deliver a best in class motor repair service to DLG customers. You will also provide complete technical expertise across the business to support the delivery of site performance, financial, operational and customer targets helping to implement best practice across the business.

Who you would be working with?

Reporting to the Vehicle Manufacturer Accreditation Manager in the Transformation team and working closely with the DLG Auto Services Leadership Team and Procurement & Supply Chain as an SME adviser to the business to define, design and deliver change initiatives and business benefits to achieve strategic goals. You will partner with all key stakeholders to identify site improvements through sharing recognised best practice and implementing standardisation.

You will provide high level learning activities using multiple communication channels and engaging at all levels of the business, you will work to understand business opportunities and analyse issues to support improved site performance in all areas, ensuring change, once delivered, is embedded, standardised, sustained and continues to deliver performance and benefits

You will own, identify, and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to the role, work as part of the transformation team to understand business opportunities and analyse issues to support improved site performance in all areas.

Skills required

You will have excellent general and specific vehicle repair industry knowledge and experience. Have experience of executing technical change projects within a body shop environment and a good understanding of the discipline of project management and the tools and processes involved.

You will have strong communication & influencing skills as this is essential in this role as well as facilitation and training skills, including the delivery of formal and informal presentations.

You will have good Microsoft PC skills enabling strong Data Analysis (including excel, Microsoft Project and MS Teams)

You will have effective time management skills, be a proactive self-starter and decisive decision maker and will have strong resilience under pressure.

You will have a driven desire to progress and develop skills and experience and commitment to problem-ownership and self-management whilst always being a collaborative team worker

You will be able to actively demonstrate a flexible approach as the role may require some travel and stay at sites across the UK

Knowledge

Excellent knowledge of Computerised Body Shop Management Systems including Audatex or equivalent industry estimating platforms and strong understanding of BS10125 and DLGAS internal repair compliance
