Loss Adjuster (Bristol)
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Loss Adjuster team on a full-time permanent basis. We have various positions available covering the geographic area of Bristol.
What we are looking for:
We want someone with excellent communication skills who can deliver a high-quality service to our customers and brokers and build positive relationships. To do this the successful candidate will have previous experience either from a Claims Inspector, Loss Adjuster or construction background. You will also hold a valid driving licence to ensure you can conduct visits with our customers.
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for are:
- Previous experience in home/commercial claims within the UK insurance industry is essential
- CERT CILA/CII qualified is desirable
- Able to demonstrate technical expertise in relation to some of the following: Construction, Flood/Fire damage
- Ability to utilise digital evidence to facilitate claim settlements
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision and actively handle own case load
- Ability to understand problems and find solutions
What you will be doing:
In this role you will be handling Home, SME & Commercial claims by reviewing digital & physical evidence along with much more such as:
- Carrying out field customer visits where additional support is required, including vulnerable customers and other ad-hoc visits
- Complete desk-based supplier audits to ensure quality of workmanship and accurate invoicing is adhered to
- Resource DLG Surge Support Vehicle (CHARLIE) and support PR opportunities identified by Press Office in connection with Surge Events and DLG response where insured properties have been impacted
- Support our Disaster Restoration and Recovery teams to validate all claims which require a field visit to ensure indemnity cost control and to support the Customer journey
- You will also support our desk based and claims teams by carrying out investigations where a site visit is required
- Deliver high levels of Customer service resulting in class leading Net Promoter Scores

Working hours:
35 hours a week, 1 in 5 weekends (9-2pm Saturday)
