We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Handler to join the Commercial Property Claims team at our Bromley office on a full time, permanent basis.
The role:
Reporting to Commercial Claims Team Leader, you will work in a dedicated team of Claims Handlers, where you will play an important part in ensuring our Commercial customers have their claims handled in a fair and efficient manner.
You will be responsible for the validation, investigation, negotiation, and fulfilment of Commercial Property Claims within a defined handling authority limit and having end-to-end ownership and accountability for each claim.
What you'll be doing:
End-to-end claims handling of retained technical claims
Investigate, negotiate indemnity and liability and identify potential recovery opportunities
Control indemnity spend and reserving through negotiation
Manage customer and third-party expectations throughout the lifecycle of the claim
Maximise revenue generation, cost control and recovery opportunities to negotiate the optimum claim settlement
Follow regulatory timescales and guidelines
Be a technical mentorreferral point to enhance capability development
Keep the customer experience at the heart of everything we do, ensuring adherence to the principles of Treating the Customer Fairly
Achieve all business targets as set out within departmental measures
What we're looking for:
Previous Insurance Claims experience (essential)
A passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high attention to detail
Competent in using Microsoft packages Including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel

Hybrid Working: We have a hybrid model with a virtual-first approach which means you would work from home and be in the office one day a week which will increase to 2 days from January 2024.
