Digital User Experience (UX) Design Degree Apprenticeship
What we’re looking for
An apprenticeship with DLG will help you kick start your career in User Experience (UX) Design. We are thrilled to offer a Level 6 Digital User Experience Design Degree Apprenticeship which will be delivered by QA in partnership with Northumbria University. Believe it or not, working in Insurance is fun!
Firstly, you’ll need to have an A*-C (9-4) GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, which you’ll be able to evidence
- Plus, you will need a minimum of 120 UCAS Tariff points from a combination of A-Level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas. Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas or the International Baccalaureate
- We’re also looking for dedication, attention to detail and an analytical mentality alongside great communication skills

What you’ll be doing
As an apprentice, you will design and deliver digital experiences that impact customers of Direct Line, Churchill, Privilege, Green Flag and Darwin. And let’s not forget our many partner brands including VW, NatWest and Motability.
To continue creating amazing, innovative products for our customers we need you and your new ways of thinking, we’ll teach you human centred design and agile ways of working, helping you to design simple, brilliant experiences that reflect our brands and embody our principles. We’re passionate about human insight-based creativity, which underpins everything we do in the Design Chapter. The work you’ll be doing combines the worlds of user interaction and user experience, so you’ll never get bored. You’ll learn how to simplify user journeys, define the digital experience of products as part of a team, translate user needs and business goals into compelling interactive customer journeys, and so much more. You’ll do this by taking on a number of roles in experience design, content creation and user research across a range of business areas.
Start Date - TBC
What we’ll give you
Base Salary - £22,000
Location: Bromley or Leeds – your time will be split between the office and home
9% pension contribution
Bonus - up to £500 in Year 1 and up to £750 in Year 2 (dependent on performance and completion of qualification)
Weekly working hours – 35 hours per week
