Engineering Chapter Lead

Are you someone who can provide hands-on guidance and wants to empower and inspire the people they work with? As a Chapter Lead, you will lead by example within your squad and across your Chapter, building confidence and allowing your team to develop. Using your expertise, you'll help set the standards and methodology within the chapter, sharing knowledge and mentoring others. With your help, we want to build and promote an environment and culture of expertise, development, continuous improvement, experimentation, and innovation!

What you'll be doing
Alongside your daily responsibilities within your own squad, you will oversee 'how' results are achieved and encourage chapter members to manage their actions and outcomes. You will guide work standards within your craft, support chapter members to build new capabilities and provide development and learning opportunities.
You will also oversee the individuals' career development and progression and represent them in performance assessments. You'll show your experience with delivering technology that enables our vision, purpose and strategic goals. You will take ownership of the design and running of our technology and provide technical leadership to improve our products and tools.
Reporting into the Engineering Chapter, as an Engineering Chapter Lead, you will also:
- Use your engineering skillset to provide reliable and agile technology solutions
- Demonstrate a desire to master the craft of software engineering
- Manage risk, quality and architectural and technical debt to ensure we achieve our promises to customers and are there for them in their hour of need
- Give advice and convey technical messages to audiences without a technology background
