Financial Risk Manager (FTC)
We are Direct Line Group – home to some of the country's best-known brands including Direct Line, Churchill, Privilege, Greenflag and NIG. Our vision is to create a world where insurance is personal, inclusive, and a force for good, and our purpose is to help people carry on with their lives, giving them peace of mind now and in the future.
To help us to deliver on this vision and purpose, we’re transforming our systems, products and services, and positioning ourselves as a challenger brand that disrupts the market and innovates for the future. We’re already award-winning across several of our brands, but we want to continue this evolution to be a forward-thinking technology and data company.

Preparing timely, accurate and reliable reports in line with Executive, Group and senior management requirements including Risk Management Committee and Board Risk Committee
Working with the business to define and produce stress test and scenarios
Developing effective working relationships with key stakeholders and the business to ensure that financial risk management is embedded throughout the organisation
Providing input to business strategies (such as new products, strategies, processes or systems) and to the annual forecasting process; to support the Head of Financial and Insurance Risk by providing oversight, challenge, intervention and analysis as required
Providing support to the Head of Financial and Insurance Risk, delegating when necessary at Committees
Playing a significant role in the development of risk appetite framework, statements, tolerances and limits for insurance risk, ensuring that risk exposures are monitored
Helping to develop a team capable of delivering Risk Strategy and Vision, developing team members towards their full potential in line with the division’s goals

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - with the ability to manage stakeholders of all levels of seniority
Previous Risk Management experience working within a similar environment
Actuarial experience essential
