We currently have several exciting opportunities to join our field-based Motor Fulfilment team as an Area Network Controller, on full-time and permanent basis.

Purpose of Role

As an ANC, you will achieve and maintain strong relationship management with all Motor Repair Network and specialist suppliers to deliver great customer outcomes at a competitive commercial cost, by focusing on the following;

  • Review supplier performance, identify areas for improvement and ensure suppliers deliver activity to address areas of improvement identified.

  • Ensure suppliers adhere to key compliance metrics with appropriate controls in place to protect our customers and Direct Line Group

  • Proactively measure that all actions resulting from the audit of our external motor repair suppliers are addressed within agreed timeframes, including the implementation and management of the appropriate action plans as required

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve/Exceed key customer metrics, ensuring that the motor repair network delivers good customer outcomes in line with Consumer Duty expectations.

  • Use appropriate judgement to deliver excellent performance through our manufacturer (VM) and supplier relationships in line with the Direct Line Group values and strategy.

  • Ensure the best use of supplier resources to meet customer demands and achieve business SLA’s.

  • Ensure cost performance is measured across suppliers with engineering activity supported and requested where action to control spend is required

  • Manage adherence to supplier contractual agreements.

  • Ensuring all regulatory reviews and actions are completed within SLA, including focused management of lower quartile repairers.

  • Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to your role, interacting with the appropriate internal and external contacts. Ensuring opportunities and threats are managed proactively and in line with the Group Risk Framework minimum standards.

  • Build your knowledge to support the development of the full potential of our network through engagement, coaching and feedback.

  • Develop self to maximise your full potential in the role.

What we are looking for:

Experience in supply chain management or supply chain oversight in any industry

Knowledge of the insurance industry is beneficial but not essential

Strong analytical skills - ability to work with and integrate performance metrics for underlying trends and issues

Good communication skills to build consensus and momentum to deliver activity

Hours: 35 hours (Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm)

Location: Field based (Nationwide)
