Senior Marketing Consultant

We have a 12 month opportunity for an experienced Marketing Consultant to lead and manage marketing campaigns,, social media activity, PR response, and communications for NIG commercial. Working with internal teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders to develop and deliver activity on time and within budget.

This role will be split between home and office work where you will be required to come into the London office monthly.

What you will be doing

  • Develop the overall marketing communications plan in conjunction with head of department.

  • Evolve and lead NIG’s digital marketing real estate across, Risk Assist, social media and TheHub. Lead all website development including enhancements and changes with agency partner.

  • Lead and plan NIG digital marketing response across campaigns, communications, and platforms.

  • Public Relations point of contact to respond to trade press enquiries, seeking input and approval from relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Manage third-party providers relevant to the role, to deliver effective activity on time and within budget.

  • Create, manage, and implement an annual content plan to deliver thought leadership, further build NIG credibility in the mid-market space.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Head Office Underwriting to understand product benefits and apply this understanding to digital content and communication.

  • Use Google Analytics and reporting to drive future marketing activity and learnings, providing actionable insights on where to focus efforts for improvement.

  • Present campaign ideas and solutions to internal stakeholders and senior leadership team.

  • Oversee management of email marketing platform and central database for regular communications and trigger emails, including monthly Source newsletter.

Who you will be working with

You will be working closely with your team, agency partners, internal stakeholders, heads of trading areas, compliance, and colleagues across NIG to achieve best marketing outcomes.

What we are looking for

  • Strong campaign and project management skills.

  • Exceptionally good collaborative stakeholder management skills are essential.

  • Excellent communicator (verbally and written).

  • Background in content production.

  • Attention to detail and keen to learn.

  • Creative thinker and problem solver.

  • Self-motivated, organised, and flexible

  • Ability to organise workload effectively and prioritise according to the impact of the project/task and it’s alignment with NIG’s marketing goals.

  • Ideally from an insurance background, always putting the broker and customer at the heart of our marketing and communications.

  • Commercially aware with ability to provide rationale and align objectives, marketing decisions and output to business priorities.

  • A real passion for marketing and ability to work under pressure.
