At DLG Legal Services, our mission is to make law easy and accessible to everyone. As part of the Direct Line Group, we provide legal services to over 50,000 DLG customers each year. Customers can access our legal Advice-line team and our growing list of services includes personal injury, employment, property, inheritance, and contract litigation. We also support our parent group, litigating on their behalf.
A fantastic opportunity has become available within DLG Legal Services, as a Claimant RTA Claims Handler. The role will be based at our Leeds, Wharf Office, on a full time, permanent basis.
What you'll be doing:
Reporting to a Pre Litigation Team Leader, you will be dealing with a mixed caseload of Pre Litigation, complex, Fast Track claims, Part 8 Litigated cases and have the ability to develop your existing experience to litigate on post whiplash reform cases where quantum and liability are disputed.
Your responsibility will be ensuring clients are provided a high level of customer service and accurate legal advice in accordance with our policies and procedures.
You will work to achieve personal and department wide targets whilst adhering to our service level agreements.
We will expect you to demonstrate a highly professional manner which reflects the brand’s image and customer ethos of DLG LS department and its values.
You will support the strategic development of the department and firm by developing high standards and growing the clients positive experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
Fast Track RTA claims handling experience with Personal injury, within an insurance company or law firm environment.
Excellent working knowledge of the MOJ Pre Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules for Personal Injury Claims.
Strong communication skills and able to engage effectively with clients.
Working towards and achieving defined Business targets and measures.
Able to work well under pressure whilst retaining high attention to detail.
Location: Leeds
Home Working: Hybrid model (2 days from the office, 3 days from home)
Working hours: 35 hour per week (Monday - Friday)
