We’re currently recruiting for a Head of Motor Retail Pricing to lead our Retail pricing across our Motor products. With over 4 million customers across our several Motor brands (Direct Line, Churchill, and Privilege), this is a truly pivotal role within DLG - responsible for the retail price our customers see – with high impact to our commercial and customer performance.
Reporting into the Director of Motor Retail, you will lead the Motor Retail team. We’re looking for someone who will be the thought leader for Retail Pricing across the Motor function. As Head of Pricing, you will significantly influence the profitability of the Motor business by implementing strategic pricing initiatives to build market leading capability and results. We’re looking to leverage predictive modelling and machine learning, to drive instant data-driven pricing actions, ensuring that pricing reflects market dynamics and risk profiles. Collaborating closely with the Director of Motor Retail, senior Pricing and Underwriting leaders, and cross-functional teams, you will foster a culture of innovation and analytical rigor, ultimately contributing to sustainable profitability and competitive advantage within the organisation. Your impact will be felt across the business, shaping its future success.
What you’ll be doing:
Act as a key member of the Motor Retail Leadership team - set the strategy and plans for Motor Retail Pricing to develop market leading capability and align and support delivery of the overall motor and organisational strategy, as well as set and deliver wider Motor strategy and plans
Continuously prioritise plans and activity for the team, ensuring required resource in place to maximise value.
Build and develop a highly skilled and engaged team.
Work collaboratively with colleagues from across the business to deliver plans – including Manufacturing, Commercial, Data and IT.
Embed a culture of innovation and analytical rigour to create competitive advantage.
Ensure a strong control and governance framework in place – ensuring pricing consistently meet legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
Maintain an excellent understanding of external developments (market, competitors, analytical advancements)
What we’re looking for:
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate this into a clear strategy and plans
Passionate about innovating, creating and continuously improving capability for commercial and customer benefit
Proven track record of initiating and delivering actions to deliver significant commercial value
Ability to clearly communicate and summarise complex topics
Evidence of successfully leading and developing a team
Experience interacting effectively with a wide variety of individuals, both technical and non-technical
Good knowledge of latest analytical tools and modelling techniques within pricing
Deep management experience leading a large, diverse team

This role will be based in central London – minutes away from Bank Station, with an expectation to be office-based c.2-3 days per week.
