Investor Relations Analyst
At Direct Line Group, insurance is just the start. Combining decades of industry experience with talented people in every field from data, technology, customer care and auto repair, to HR, finance and procurement, we’re a customer-obsessed market powerhouse. And we all work together to be brilliant for customers, every single day.
As part of our Investor Relations team, you’ll be at the forefront of communication between Direct Line Group and our investors. Your role will be essential in ensuring that our shareholders are kept informed, engaged, and aligned with our strategic goals. By managing key investor activities, producing insightful analyses, and building strong relationships with sell side analysts, you’ll help shape how the market perceives our business.
If you're driven by the challenge of translating complex financial information into compelling narratives and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for someone with external reporting experience within the insurance industry. You should have a solid understanding of accounting principles such as IFRS 17, coupled with the ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences. Ideally, you’ll come from another insurance company, where you’ve gained experience in investor relations, reporting, and market analysis.
We're seeking a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in Insurance accounting, ideally pursuing a qualification (CIMA/ACCA). You should have excellent communication skills, an inquisitive mindset, and a keen eye for detail, capable of financial modelling, drafting and reviewing market communications to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Confidence is key, as you'll interact with senior leadership, including the CEO and Board members, discussing strategic insights and ensuring our communications align with corporate messaging.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business while meeting tight deadlines.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the production of analyst presentations, particularly for half-year and full-year results, ensuring high-quality output.
- Produce regular updates for ExCo and the Board on share price performance, and market newsflow, including insights on DLG and its peers.
- Oversee analyst consensus management, maintain regular communication with sell-side analysts, and provide internal updates.
- Engage with the wider business to assist with the production of Q&A and key issue documents for quarterly results and ad hoc announcements.
- Promptly address investor and sell-side enquiries, coordinating with relevant business areas to source accurate responses.
- Assist with the smooth running of investor activities, including roadshows, conferences, and investor days.
- Ensure the Investors section of the corporate website is fit for purpose.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, particularly with the finance team and external sell-side analysts.
- Govern IR processes effectively and manage ad hoc IR projects as required.
- Monitor peer group activity, legislative and market trends to identify key issues and shape the IR response accordingly.
Hours: 35 Hours per week
