What we're looking for:
An inspiring learning professional with a wealth of expertise around shaping and leading mass upskilling and reskilling learning initiatives – aimed at evolving data and tech capability across large organisations. The ideal candidate may have experience of partnering with data and tech functions previously and will ideally have experience of doing this within a relevant sector e.g. Financial Services, Fin Tech or Technology.
You’ll be well versed in helping organisations execute learning strategies set by our COEs that attract, grow, and retain the skills we need as an organisation in a hybrid working model. You’ll know how to engage and build relationships at a senior level with technology/data offices and have a real ability to bring these functions on a journey at a leadership and functional level and you’ll be experienced in interpreting their learning needs.
You’ll initially own and evolve the data and tech skills learning offering and will ensure it continues to perform for the business and deliver value for our colleagues by helping them to grow their careers with DLG. These skill sets will evolve over time based on our future skills strategy.
As a learning specialist, you’ll work collaboratively, using agile methodology across the HR function, with the business and our managed service provider in relation to learning that relates to data, tech and other future focussed skills.
Who you'll be working with:
We’re a diverse, highly collaborative dedicated team of team of learning professionals re-framing learning across our organisation, developing growth mindsets and fostering learning culture to connect skills to careers and business performance. You’ll be joining a newly created team, working closely across Learning Experience, People & Talent Partners, COEs and DLG colleagues, business leaders, SMEs, trusted 3rd parties to deploy and evolve highly impactful learning solutions in line with your specialism.
What you'll be doing
A typical day will involve a healthy mix of collaborating with our COEs, providing guidance of how learning could help deliver the strategies they have agreed, incorporating best practice and balancing this with the needs of DLG to maximise impact
You’ll be working closely with our People and Talent Partners to shape people plans carefully mapping out and demonstrating how the initiatives you own will contribute to OKRs
You’ll be working closely with our trusted 3rd parties via our managed service provider to develop and evolve solutions and handle any escalations.
Gathering and analysing data, producing insights that will help sell concepts, inform a roadmap of iterative enhancements to the learning offering and measure return on investment
Work with our Employer Brand Team to develop and deploy marketing approaches for the initiatives you own.
Managing the relationship between the business and our managed service provider in relation to the learning offering that applies to your specialism.
You’ll be working on several initiatives at once, parachuting into squads made up of key people across the learning experience team who will team up to address learning needs from across the business.
You’ll provide expertise and external insight so you’ll be continuously tapping into your active external network and attending industry events to keep up to date with the latest trends and insight and seek out opportunities to gain external recognition.
You’ll get stuck in to the challenge of taking complex learning needs, and breaking them down into elegant digital learning solutions which connect skills to career development and business outcomes.
Selling concepts to stakeholders
You’ll conduct research, interpret data, run user feedback sessions and regularly stand and deliver your findings to senior stakeholders.
