You’ll be Commercially aware and be comfortable analysing and interpreting data.

You’ll have experience of delivering small and large-scale initiatives, and have the ability to manage multiple change items at once.

This role is a hybrid opportunity with two working days a week from our London office.

What you need to bring:

  • Focus on commercial outcomes by looking at initiatives through a customer lense, ensuring the development of initiatives takes into consideration all key stakeholders and thus meets internal processes and external regulation.

  • Awareness and appreciation for changing market conditions.

  • Awareness of upcoming regulatory changes and consideration for how these may impact our products and projects that are in flight

  • Ability to gather and synthesise information from a broad range of customer, market and competitor sources to build a rich, robust information base about the wider business context and use this insight to drive idea generation and execution.

  • Understanding of rules and requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and any other legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks, keeping abreast of any changes.

  • Strong interpersonal skillset and experience in stakeholder management

  • Ability to handle data, including interpretation and storytelling

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be part of the Motor New Business team and be responsible maximising the value of our Motor Insurance products.

  • Work alongside key stakeholders across the business such as trading, digital, marketing, technology, regulatory team, operations and claims.

  • Ensure customer outcomes are considered and customer best interests’ rules are adhered to when decisions are made.

  • Actively seek out and bring the ‘voice of the customer’ into the initiative idea; analyse and understand our customer behaviour, motivations and pain points to identify if a change needs to adapt to meet these fully.

  • Refine initiative idea to deliver maximum benefit for the customer and DLG, by ensuring we have a test and learn approach to all deliveries of our projects so we can reliably measure their impacts.

  • Monitor the performance of our products and benchmark these against the market.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with matrix partners you work with to deliver your initiatives in order to set joint objectives that are regularly measured and monitored; provide direction and facilitate effective challenges to proposed business change; and ensure minimal disruption to the business.

  • You will participate in trading meetings where appropriate with matrix managed stakeholders to articulate current trends and potential risks.

“Following my probation, I would like to say I am really happy working for Direct Line Group. I pretty much like everything about the role, I feel needed and wanted by colleagues and customers. The values of the company are excellent for the customers. I like that the calls are somewhat repetitive, but still each call is still different as each customer is different. I find the Flex type tool was so helpful and I use it on every call. I hope to be able to develop throughout my career at Direct Line Group. I was a bit worried about the tech side of things to begin with and even though I am still not 100% but learning every day.”
