Join us as a Rescue Pricing Data Scientist in our Rescue Modelling & Capability Team. Green Flag have a legacy of being a strong brand in the Rescue market – we’re looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated pricer/data scientist to join our exciting team as we look to grow our brands and offerings.
What you’ll be doing
(Band 4)
Working in an agile way means you’ll take charge early on, soak up new experiences and most importantly you’ll positively influence and shape what we do – making an impact on our customers lives. We’ll utilise your skills where they are most needed whilst also giving you to opportunity to build and grow the breadth of your expertise.
Reporting into the Pricing & Underwriting Modelling & Capability lead, key responsibilities will include:
Risk & Retail predictive modelling buildsusing Python, and utilising latest data science techniques
Testing & validating model performance
Introduce new modelling techniques safely, or to support wider tribe on potential data science modelling activities as required (e.g. claims optimsation).
Share data science best practice within team and externally.
Supporting on trading activity, including proposals, testing & PIRs
Managing model performance
Interrogating of regular reporting & conduct processes to support Pricing outcomes
Managing risk & trading performance, via Actual vs Expected and model development.
Monitoring performance dashboards, identifying threats & opportunities
Liaising with our Pricing Optimisation & Trading teams to deliver great customer and commercial outcomes
Working closely with the pricing & underwriting team to deliver great pricing & underwriting outcomes.
Adherence to relevant pricing controls.
Dealing with pricing referrals as required.
What you’ll need
Experience working in Python.
Experience of pricing a personal lines insurance product, in either a risk or trading capacity.
Strong understanding of modelling processes and concepts, and ability to lead on technical modelling builds.
SQL skills required, SAS experience also preferable but not essential
Sagemaker experience preferable but not required.
Ability to innovate & work in a fast paced environment, working with a breadth of initiatives
Experience working to budgets & developing business cases for capability enhancement
