What we look for:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Service Continuity Analyst to join Direct Line Group, a market leading insurer based in central London.

This is a hybrid role where you will visit our London office a few times a month.

Who you’ll work with

You will join a team of 5 Analysts supporting the Service Resilience Manager in delivering  IT Service Resilience processes, which include; scheduling, planning, testing and reporting   of recovery proving events  which helps assure IT Services that support our most critical businesses processes and activities.

You will work within the "Group Core Technology Operations" function of Technology.

What you'll do:

  • Work with main DLG suppliers to help maintain our IT Service Resilience processes, documentation and reports following industry good practice and internal DLG minimum standard requirements.

  • Schedule, Plan, Test and Assure IT Services that support our most critical businesses processes and activities.

  • Compile and communicate Management Information to our key technology and business partners on the results of recovery proving events and any remediation action required.

  • Work with our colleagues in Risk Management as the 1st Line of Defence in assuring the resilience of critical IT Services.

  • Find opportunities for improving service resilience to manage cost and process efficiencies.

  • As a member of the wider GCTO team you will support operational priorities and assist other teams across the department. There may also be a requirement for business related travel.

  • Support the delivery of Operational Resilience across the Business.

Skills and qualities you need have:

  • Experience of working in a Disaster Recovery, Service Continuity or IT Resilience role – ideally within a Corporate environment. (for example, Insurance, Financial Services, Consultancy house or 3rd Party Outsourcer).

  • Experience in IT Disaster Recovery testing / assessment of IT Resilience.

  • Understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle

  • Experience in ITIL processes and how they interact with ITSR

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
