What you'll be doing:

  • You will develop long term value adding supplier and relationship strategies that are in consideration of business and category and supply chain strategies.

  • You will lead commercial relationships with suppliers and resolve and reduce solutions where supplier performance is under expected standards.

  • You will contribute to commercial projects (eg. continuous improvement, innovation led projects, supply chain collaboration), bringing innovation from the supply base.

  • You will deliver ongoing and increasing benefit to DLG through the engagement of suppliers and delivery of initiatives that drive value, cost reduction and service improvements.

  • You will manage a portfolio of process efficiency initiatives and a range of sourcing projects to deliver true benefit to the business.

What you'll need:

  • Experience managing supplier relationships and addressing commercial issues.

  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Understanding and managing contract obligations.

  • Developing long-term supplier and relationship strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Identifying cost reduction, service improvement, and innovation opportunities.

  • Managing and mitigating supplier-related risks.

  • Analysing supplier performance data for improvement.

  • Experience of negotiating contracts and or delivery of tactical sourcing activity.
