This is an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Property Claims team as a Commercial PropertyClaims Handler on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Commercial Claims Team Leader, you will work in a dedicated team of Claims Handlers, where you will play an important part in ensuring our Commercial customers have their claims handled in a fair and efficient manner.
You will be responsible for the validation, investigation, negotiation, and fulfilment of Commercial Property Claims within a defined handling authority limit and having end-to-end ownership and accountability for each claim.
What you'll be doing:
End-to-end claims handling of retained technical claims
Investigate, negotiate indemnity and liability and identify potential recovery opportunities
Control indemnity spend and reserving through negotiation
Manage customer and third-party expectations throughout the lifecycle of the claim
Maximise revenue generation, cost control and recovery opportunities to negotiate the optimum claim settlement
Follow regulatory timescales and guidelines
Be a technical mentor and referral point to enhance capability development
Keep the customer experience at the heart of everything we do, ensuring adherence to the principles of Treating the Customer Fairly
Achieve all business targets as set out within departmental measures
What we're looking for:
A passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Competent in using Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel
Insurance Claims experience is preferable

Hybrid Working: We have a hybrid model with a virtual-first approach which means you would work from home and be in the office two days a week.
