Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process has been designed to let us find out if you could really help shape our future. It'll help us understand you as an individual, your personality and what you could bring to us.

The Recruitment Process

The application process for our apprenticeships goes like this:

Online application

Make sure you read the job description which will let you know the qualifications you’ll need to have to apply. If you have a CV great! Upload this for us.

Application review

We’ll carefully review your application to make sure you’re eligible for the programme. Unfortunately, we’re unable to sponsor visas for our apprenticeship programme at this time.

Video Interview

If you’re eligible for the programme, we’ll invite you to complete a video interview with us. This is pre-recorded and will last around 20 minutes. We want to learn more about your background and talents, and what motivates you.

Assessment Centre

If you pass your video interview, we’ll invite you to attend one of our assessment centres. This usually consists of a competency-based interview and a group exercise and will last around an hour and a half. We’ll ask you to take some documentation with you, which we’ll need if you’re successful. You’ll hear back from a member of our Recruitment Team within 2 weeks to let you know how you’ve done, so please be patient while you wait to hear from us.

Offer and pre-employment screening

If we make you an offer, we’ll then guide you through our pre-employment screening.

Reasonable adjustment

If you require any reasonable adjustments at any point during the recruitment process, please contact our Recruitment Team on earlycareers@directlinegroup.co.uk.
