What we’re looking for:
We are always looking for ways to develop not only our pricing ability but also our Motor Pricing team. To achieve this our Motor Pricing Development Centre is an exciting new team responsible for developing and managing key strategic projects whilst giving team members the opportunity to develop new skillsets. Projects will cover a wide range of topics and involve working with many of the different teams within the Pricing & Underwriting function. The team is passionate about delivering change at a fast rate to ensure we are delivering a product that represents value for customers whilst minimising our risk.
This is in many ways an autonomous role where you will be responsible for your own projects and your own time management. If you enjoy working with people from different teams and you are a strong relationship builder this will be a great role for you.
Who you’ll be working with
Your line manager will be Aidan Casey, Motor Pricing Development Centre Manager and additionally you will be working with analysts and managers across different areas of the business.
The Development Centre is actively hiring for many roles within the team and thus over time more team members will be introduced. However, the Development Centre is very much part of Motor Pricing which gives an extra layer of support during the initial phases of beginning this new team. You will be a central point of contact for the Development Centre and you will have great opportunity to build business relationships at all levels.
What you’ll be doing
New pricing capabilities will need to be maximised and imbedded into the wider pricing teams and you will be key in this development. Identifying opportunities is a key aspect of this role, you will be given freedom to explore opportunities and suggest which projects should be prioritised. As you will be involved in a wide range of projects skillsets from analysis to communication will be required. We want you to strive to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our pricing, ensuring it is relevant for business needs, new developments match to our strategic direction and stakeholders are kept apprised throughout. You will be breathing and living change, always looking for the better option or the more accurate model, so this needs to be a passion of yours. We have excellent benefits available for our employees who can deliver significant improvements to our business - if you have an idea, we promise to listen!
You will have a high level of responsibility within the team, acting as a deputy and mentoring more junior colleagues. Your projects may naturally be more complex and of a higher priority giving you the scope to grow into a leader.
What we’ll give you
We have a strong focus on developing you and your skillset and work hard to give you the tools to do so. In addition to this we also offer a generous benefits package including family and work life balance focused options such as: fully paid maternity leave and parental leave, flexible working, insurance savings for you and your family as well as a range of other optional benefits. Here are just a few of the highlights:
