What you’ll be doing
Reporting directly to the Technical Property Team Manager, you'll be responsible for providing technical handling and oversight of claims involving Disaster, Recovery & Restoration activities, ensuring cost control and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your role will involve managing all Disaster, Recovery & Restoration claims, including both standard and complex Home & Commercial cases, within handling authority or on referral. You'll apply technical oversight to Disaster, Recovery & Restoration activities, challenging suppliers when necessary, and maintain tasks within agreed service level agreements (SLAs), supporting the department and business in meeting SLAs. Collaborating with the Property Team and Loss Adjusters, you'll deliver optimal Disaster, Recovery & Restoration solutions and accurately document information onto applicable systems. Additionally, you'll identify and manage complaints, escalate trends and opportunities for improvement, and take ownership of risks in line with regulatory requirements and Direct Line Group's risk framework.
What we’re looking for
Strong technical knowledge of property insurance claims handling, including Disaster, Recovery & Restoration activities
A background in loss adjusting, or commercial & domestic claims handling
Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures specific to Asbestos and Mould remediation
