Who you'll work with:

At DLG we are delivering a set of plans to transform our technology for the future, evolving the systems, platforms and infrastructure that our people use day-to-day. You'll join our wider 'Group Core Technology & Operations' department whose mission is to serve customers by managing Technology for stability, performance and value.

Within this you'll be part of the EUC Platform Operations team working with other support engineers and others such as our Support Lead, Risk Lead, Release manager and the wider team. The team have a continuous improvement mindset and we're looking for curious minds and critical thinkers who will work collaboratively to identify and analyse trends and root causes of incidents to prevent them in the future.

We are looking for the Release Analyst to join our EUC team based in London Riverbank on a full time permanent basis.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand release requirements.

  • Participate in release planning meetings to gather information on release scope, features, and timelines.

  • Assist in creating release plans and schedules including entry and exit criteria

  • Work with Engineering and operational teams to ensure that all necessary components are ready for release.

  • Coordinate activities related to release deployments and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

  • Monitor release progress and address any issues that may arise during the release process.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date release documentation, including release notes, deployment instructions, and versioning information.

  • Create and manage release-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain a comprehensive and up to date Evergreening schedule

  • Maintain version control of all releases and software to track changes and updates throughout the development lifecycle

  • Coordinate User Acceptance testing with positive test confirmation and feedback.       

  • Verify that the release meets quality standards and address any issues identified during testing.

  • Communicate release status, issues, and risks to relevant stakeholders.

  • Identify areas for process improvement in the release management process.

What we look for:

  • As the role requires day-to-day contact with the senior leadership team excellent communication and stakeholder management skills is essential. Ideally, we look for a candidate who has worked with senior stakeholders and has experience in handling their queries.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skill

  • A basic awareness of cloud environments and user experience platforms such as Azure, AWS, Win 10 etc

  • Experience in roles involving the co-ordination of multiple activities for fixed timescales producing reports if necessary.

  • Ability to work as a team and to be highly motivated.
