We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Risk Quality Assurance Manager to join the Direct Line Group on a permanent basis!

What you’ll be doing

  • Design a Finance-wide quality assurance process that is in line with industry standards, focusses on the key controls of the function, and has real-time reporting to allow for immediate adaptations in controls where relevant. This will be done on a phased approach with a heavy focus on Actuarial processes to start.
  • Act as a Finance risk & assurance subject matter expert on control operations providing robust challenge to protect the Group’s interests and ensuring that the appropriate key controls are operated as designed, consistently operated, and have sufficient and appropriate documentation to prove the operation.
  • To collaborate with senior management across the Chief Financial Office to ensure that their key controls are evidenced appropriately.
  • To prepare reports for relevant committees or Senior Management providing real-time outputs of quality assurance reviews in different areas of the Chief Financial Office.
  • Supporting the various risk and control activities of the team as directed to ensure the overall objectives and key results are met.
  • Guide and provide advice to teams within Finance on issue raising, assessment, reporting, escalation, and resolution.
  • Support in the ongoing operation of the FRCF, including oversight (in line with methodology), communication, and education of the FRCF to the finance and non-finance directorates where relevant.

What you’ll need

  • Financial / accounting qualification
  • Auditing or quality assurance experience.
  • Understanding of Actuarial, financial control, and other financial reporting processes.
  • Experience in control testing or control design.

This role is based out of our London office. Our hybrid model way of working offers a 'best of both worlds' approach combining the best parts of home and office-working, offering flexibility for everyone.
